BCC Privacy Policy

Berkhamsted Cycling Club (BCC/the Club) takes your privacy seriously and will only use your personal information in connection with your membership.

British Cycling holds your information on behalf of BCC. You can read the British Cycling Privacy Policy and access your personal data through your profile. If you have any concerns regarding British Cycling’s processing of your data you can contact them at compliance@britishcycling.org.uk
BCC holds data as part the members’ website login, for events or online shopping. However the Club may contact you using the details provided to British Cycling while you remain a member of the Club and for three months after your membership lapses.

Volunteering
BCC members are asked to volunteer activities for BCC. Signing up for volunteering is done via the British Cycling club manager system.

However your details may be passed on to the event organisers so they can contact you. Details will only be held as long as necessary for the event to take place.

Club website
The BCC website stores members’ personal data for members’ login. Mainly name, sex, email address, address, phone and website password (encrypted).

Online shop
BCC holds personal details of anyone that has ordered club kit using the online shop (WooCommerce). Mainly name, address, email, telephone, kit ordered and price paid. BCC only use this information to contact people about their orders and for stock management purposes. BCC use PayPal for online payments.

Ride Routes
BCC uses Ride with GPS, a tool that allow cyclists to plan, navigate, and share great rides. Using the website and app, riders can create detailed routes with cuesheets.

Facebook
BCC club members can join the Berkhamsted Cycling Club closed group on Facebook.

Communication and Club Information
BCC sometimes communicates to members directly via email. This may include details of club activities such as rides and competitions, club events such as training sessions or social activities and training camps/holidays organised by the Club.

Your information will not be passed to third parties and any relationship with third parties will be directly between you and them.
This communication is considered necessary for members to participate in the Club.
